President's Commission on Critical Infrastructure ProtectionSusan SimensCommissionerMs. Simens is a Supervisory Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During her 18 years of Bureau service, she has been assigned to matters involving national security, including management of the computer espionage program. She also served as the Bureau's liaison to the Defense Intelligence Agency where she was awarded the Defense Intelligence Director's Award Medal for exceptional liaison service to the agency. She is currently assigned to the Strategic Planning Analysis Unit, FBIHQ, where she is responsible for strategic planning for information technology issues, equipment procurement, and contracting in support of computer intrusion in infrastructure threat matters. Ms. Simens served as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1979. As a Commissioner, she served on the Vital Human Services team.
